Frequently Asked Questions

What is Sajam Slam?

Sajam Slam is a fighting game event that pairs up professional fighting game coaches and amateur streamers in a team format to show off all levels of play in the genre. Streamers are paired up with fighting game veterans to help prepare them to fight each other in a 5v5 event, where each player plays against a streamer of similar skill. The goal is to show off every single level of play, and show why fighting games are so fun to play! You can read more about Sajam Slam here.

What is the format for Sajam Slam?

Players are divided into teams based on their skill level; each team has one player from each of the four skill brackets, ranging from total beginner to more experienced. Each team works with their pro player coach to learn the game, practice strategies, and demonstrate how fun fighting games can be when you learn with like-minded friends.

After a week of practice, the teams will compete in two separate round robin tournaments, where each team plays each other team, with the players from each skill bracket facing off against each other. Winning matches earns points which will decide seeding into the final tournament, where all teams play to decide the Sajam Slam champion!
